Mix102.3’s Max & Ali in the Morning has announced that Adelaide Crows’, Reilly O’Brien, will be returning as a regular weekly AFL contributor on the breakfast show, as well as Port Adelaide’s newest recruit, Ivan Soldo, throughout the season.
Both boys will bring listeners behind-the-scenes insights from the Port Adelaide and Adelaide Crows camps.
Crows player, Reilly O’Brien, will join the team every Monday to talk about the post round recap and new Port player, Ivan Soldo, will appear live on the show to talk about the round ahead.
Co-host of Max & Ali in the Morning, Max Burford, is looking forward to having Ivan and Reilly join the show during the AFL season, being a footy fanatic and die-hard Port supporter himself.
“We want our listeners to be able to hear everything inside our two footy clubs, so who better to go to than the men who can see over the top of everyone else. We’ll be getting our knees dirty with two of the biggest (and tallest!) names, and it’s going to be plenty of fun,” said Max.
Ali Clarke also added how it is going to be great to have two players who might view the game and the industry quite differently, as a result of their own experiences.
Ivan Soldo landed at Port Adelaide in the 2023 trade period after the club struck a deal with his former club, Richmond, meaning that he is relatively new to the Adelaide AFL scene.
On the other hand, Reilly O’Brien is coming into his tenth season with the Adelaide Crows, having been drafted by the club in 2014.
“Ivan’s new to town whilst ROB is part of the furniture Adelaide, so can’t wait to see how they see things,” said Ali.
“Let’s face it … so many other people talk about the on-field footy stuff, but we want to get everyone behind the scenes.”
With Ali being a Crows fan, and Max Burford a passionate Port supporter and 10 News First Sports Presenter, there is a rivalry in the air that is certain to make the show firey at times!
Mix102.3’s Content Director, Stephen Werner, added, “Max & Ali in the Morning promises to give its listeners all the insider knowledge into AFL in Adelaide, and is the home of entertainment and fun for South Australian families and AFL fans.”
Ivan and Reilly will be joining the show as of the week commencing 11 March.
