Today on the Ali Clarke Breakfast Show we had a very special guest joining us. None other than the iconic Boy George from Culture Club.
Ali, Max and Shane had many questions for the pop star, mostly pertaining to his extensive hat collection, but after those questions were out of their system Ali came to the topic of Culture Club’s iconic appearance at Rundle Mall in 1984.

As seen above this event sent Adelaide into a frenzy. Hundreds of fans flocked to Rundle Mall for just an appearance of Culture Club, not even a performance!
It turns out also that it was our station with Molly Meldrum that got Culture Club to Adelaide in the first place, a nice piece of history.
Since we mentioned this massive event on air someone listening must have been there and of course there was!
We got several callers who said they skipped school to go see the star in Rundle Mall.
