The Crown Princess of Denmark, Mary, has tested positive for coronavirus, the royal court said in a statement.
The Australian-born royal was isolating in a wing of the Amalienborg Palace in the heart of Copenhagen and the virus was not detected among other members of the family, it said.
“In connection with the test result, the Royal House of Denmark is receiving advice from the Danish Patient Safety Authority concerning detection of infection,” the statement read.
“The Crown Princess will remain in isolation until it is once again safe to end the isolation according to the applicable guidelines.”
