In recent years we have been inundated with countless live action remakes of beloved Disney films.
The Lion King, Aladdin, Lady and the Tramp (which one saw that), Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and most recently The Little Mermaid.
But the next one that is in the works is Bambi!
And it isn’t the action filled SNL parody that I’m talking about, it’s gonna be an actual movie.
The movie has actually been in development since 2020 but a director was never attached, until recently.
Deadline reports that Sarah Polley, the writer-director is fresh off winning an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Women Talking is in talks to direct.
The film was initially announced in 2020 with Captain Marvel screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser writer Lindsey Beer attached. It’s unclear if the screenplay will remain the same.
All that we know is that the movie is in very early development and we can only assume that it’ll follow the same formula as the other live-action Disney pictures.
